  1. I like this quote. Although I don’t try to push my way of eating on anyone, I’m open about my choices. When I went home for Christmas last year, my dad told me, “I think it’s okay to eat meat because Jesus ate fish.” I didn’t know how to respond to this. Who am I to question Jesus? But apparently not all Christians think like my dad on this subject.

    1. Sounds like he should check out Andrew Linzey 😉 There’s a lot of research about Genesis that indicates God thought Vegan was the way to go. And aside from all doctrines and dogma, it just makes sense — don’t hurt living beings! They feel pain and emotions. It boggles my mind how most people just turn their heads away from that obvious truth.

      1. I know that I’ll at least check out what Linzey has to say – thanks for turning me on to him. I recently read ‘Veganist’ by Kathy Freston, and she has an interesting chapter on spirituality and veganism as well. Maybe next Christmas I’ll be able to have an intelligent discussion about the topic with my dad. Celeste:)
