Hi! 👋 I’m Meghan Oona Clifford, a lifelong artist, chef, and advocate for compassionate living. I’ve been plant-based since the 1990s, spending more than 30 years exploring how nourishment, mindfulness, and creativity weave together. With a Master of Fine Arts and a background as head chef at a retreat center, my approach to cooking is intuitive and intentional, rooted in both spiritual and nutritional healing.
My debut cookbook, Recipes for Compassion, is the heart of this journey. It draws on decades of experience creating vibrant, whole-food meals that are as beautiful as they are kind. Through simple techniques and thoughtful guidance, I invite you to transform your relationship with food, to see cooking not only as nourishment, but as something sacred.
As a mom of two young children, I know the value of simple, nourishing meals that come together easily and are loved by the whole family. Whether I’m painting luminous abstract works or perfecting a coconut curry, I treat each act of creation as a love offering, an opportunity to connect more deeply with self, spirit, and Earth.
I live with my husband and kids on six acres in Santa Cruz County, California. Every day we wake up and say, “Good morning, we are blessed.”
Thank you for being part of this interconnection, ♥ Meghan Oona
